The sounds of surf crash down upon you as your eyes reluctantly flutter open and abruptly close again as sunlight finds it’s purchase momentarily blinding you. The taste of sand and the sea fill your mouth and nose. It is the perfect accompaniment to the dull ache the echoes through your body. For what seems like hours you lay there the ocean gliding over your body before you finally get up the strength again to open your eyes. The sting is there but somehow you keep them open.

It takes you a few minutes before the your able to see anything but a dull white light and the sand that surrounds you. You find yourself able to get to your knees and as you do so the horror of your dreams come crashing down upon you. Before you remains whats left of the ship, sea soaked boards and what is left of the hull line the coast for as far as the eye can see.
